Pre and post congresses

The IJK is not the only Esperanto event, and certainly not the only summer youth event. We’ve compiled a list of various events that could complete your IJK trip.

Pre congresses

Roskilde Festival, Denmark, June 27 to July 4

The music festival of Roskilde is one of the largest in the world, and the Danish Esperanto Youth organizes a team of volunteers every year. If you’re in that team, you’ll contribute to the success of the festival, you participate almost entirely for free and will see famous artists from all over the world. Experience all of this in a relaxed, green atmosphere.

Study weekend, the Netherlands, July 3-5

Esperanto Netherlands organizes a study weekend in Bornerbroek twice a year, with skilled teachers and entertaining lessons. If you still do not speak Esperanto, or if your knowledge of Esperanto still is not as good as you’d like it to be, you’re more than welcome. Participants with a greater level of Esperanto will also find an interesting program.

Post congresses

Summer Esperanto Studies, Czechia, July 18-26

The best occasion to learn and practice Esperanto! This professionally organized event in Kroměříž is targeted at students of all levels, and also offers an abundant program after the lessons, including great concerts. We’re organizing a direct caravan from IJK to SES.

Varmaj Tagoj and Fieru!, Germany, July 18-26

Close to Berlin, Esperantists bought the train station Halbe to turn it into an Esperanto station. Immediately following the IJK, summer festivities by the name of Varmaj Tagoj will take place at the station. Immediately following that, you can proudly take part in the LGBT parade of Berlin with Fieru! We’re organizing a direct caravan from IJK to the Esperanto station.

Festo, festo, festo! The famous Esperanto music festival is back with a multinational team from the Green Scouts. In the famous Esperanto castle Gresillon in Baugè you can take part in the fun with workshops, games, and outstanding concerts, or you can simply do absolutely nothing.
